The Unicorn Hotel, Skipton.

Sue and Ed wish to warmly welcome you to the Unicorn Hotel.

The Unicorn Hotel is part of the original Bentley Brewery Building which came into being just after the First World War, when the Keighley Road approach to the town centre was widened. The whole building was a public house and hotel up until the mid 70's  when a conversion took place leaving the property in its current set-up.

The hotel occupies the first and second floors of the building, while on the ground floor there are several commercial units - e.g. the Yorkshire Building Society and an estate agency.

We are obliged to keep the word "Hotel" in our title but in reality we are a bed and breakfast establishment.

Wi-fi internet access is available for guests at a small charge.

Location and other information
The Unicorn Hotel is situated in the centre of town opposite the Bus Station and the Westgate Department store. The High Street is very near with its well-known Market four times a week. The hotel is also very convenient to shops, restaurants and pubs making it easy to enjoy the day and night life that Skipton has to offer. We offer excellent accommodation for the overnight visitor and those wanting to spend a few days in and around Skipton which is considered to be the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.

We are ten minutes away from the railway station on foot. Taxis are generally available outside the station at all times. Cost to the Unicorn should be no more than £3. We do not have a car park of our own but it may be possible to park directly outside our main(side) entrance in Devonshire Place. Alternatively, there is a short stay car park directly opposite the hotel. This is free overnight from 18.00hrs to 09.00hrs.

Other car parks are within a short walk  -  Skipton is a very popular and busy town particularly Friday/Saturday afternoons. We can always advise you on the options to park on your arrival.

Access to the Hotel
Check-in time is from 13.00 until 22.00 when we close for the night.
Check-out time is by 10.00 on the day of departure.
Special arrangements to accommodate guests outside of these times should be made when making the booking.
Please note that once having booked in guests can always gain access to the hotel with their key.

There are nine bedrooms at the Unicorn Hotel.........however there are no single rooms. This of course means that we offer our double rooms at single occupancy rates.

There are three standard double rooms and two superior double rooms.The superior rooms are somewhat larger and as such are a better option for guests who are requiring a longer stay.
We have two small family twin rooms and a larger family room with one double and two single beds.
Finally there is our deluxe bedroom with king-size bed and its own sitting area.

All rooms are centrally-heated and have ensuite bathroom facilities. (Shower over the bath in each case)
Tea and coffee making facilities and a TV are located in every room.
Hairdryers, alarm clocks, iron/ironing  board are available on request.
We will do our best to satisfy guest requirements but certain things we can not do -  e.g. laundry.

Eating in
Breakfast is served in the Dining Room from 07.00 to 09.00.
This means a meal is available for those early starters.
In order to organise breakfast efficiently, we ask guests to fill in and return our breakfast order form. This lets us know the type of breakfast that guests require and the time at which they expect to eat.

"Continental"-style breakfast is included in the room price and consists of:-
